Since going to Ripleys, our 10 year old daughter has really taken an interest to this sort of stuff. As long as she doesn't try to grow the worlds longest "ear hair" or stuff a pillow all with belly button fuzz, I'd say it was well worth the money to open up a new world to our daughter. I visited on January 14 and both tunnel and two way mirror were working. My husband and I had a fun time viewing artifacts and what I would call interesting works of art. It was a great way to get out of the cold for an hour or so. I would recommend it for older children, maybe 8 and older.
