What Does The Bible Say About The Ocean?
What does the Bible say about? He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. Who builds his upper chambers in the heavens and founds his vault upon the earth; who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out upon the surface of the earth— the Lord is his name. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. Some went down to the sea in ships, doing business on the great waters; they saw the deeds of the Lord , his wondrous works in the deep.
Then God said, "Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear"; and it was so. God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that it was good. For I have placed the sand as a boundary for the sea, An eternal decree, so it cannot cross over it. Though the waves toss, yet they cannot prevail; Though they roar, yet they cannot cross over it. The sea is His, for it was He who made it, And His hands formed the dry land. He caused the storm to be still, So that the waves of the sea were hushed.
If His hand has the power to create the seas than rest assured His hand will guide you and get you through trials in life. Isaiah He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in his arms, holding them close to his heart. He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young. Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance?
D oes the Bible say much about the ocean? Will it exist in the future? To the Jews, and ancient Israel, the ocean was always a symbol of death.
