How to build a Minecraft house
Building a stylish starter house in Minecraft makes the game more fun and lets you show off to your friends. Start with a square or rectangle. When building a rectangle, go to one of the longer sides of the house, and in the middle of the wall, knock out 1 block of the wall if there are an odd number of blocks on the row, or knock out 2 blocks if there are an even number of blocks. On a square house, choose any side and do the same thing. Wherever you make the hole is where the door will be placed, so place the door or double door in the hole you just created. The door is 2 blocks tall.
Show less Do you dream of creating impressive structures to be remembered among the Minecraft community, but don't know where to start? Making cool stuff in Minecraft is feasible for most players familiar with the game's interface, and you can create awesome buildings, structures, worlds, environments, mechanics, and inventions if you start with the right plan in mind. Consider drawing inspiration from the real world or letting your imagination run wild and crazy! To make cool stuff in Minecraft, try making a mob cannon using Redstone and TNT so you can launch sheep into the Nether. You can also build elevators inside of your buildings using Redstone and command blocks so you can easily move between floors.

Once you've done that, join all the logs up at the top with more logs. You will also want to fill the walls in as shown. Just like you did with the first floor, build the wood logs up by 4 and join them up at the top but fill the walls in with wood. Make sure you leave the section on the left as one layer.
Step 2: Frame and Walls
Looking for some Minecraft house ideas? You should put aside some time, some resources and some love, as building a house in Minecraft is no easy task. These Minecraft house ideas will save you time and effort, so you can spend more time enjoying your new pad and less time bogged down in construction. Medieval houses in Minecraft come in all shapes and sizes, whether you want a sturdy fortress built of stone, host to all the old cobblestone features, eerie fireplaces, and a hidden lair. Our favourite of the bunch has to be this combination of the two, with all the grand stonework of a castle, paired with barn-like features.
Knowing how to build a Minecraft house is one of the most integral skills you need to survive in this giant sandbox game - other than keeping your Minecraft Forge nice and tidy. A house is important because it gives you a base of operations, somewhere to take shelter from the game's many dangers, and somewhere to store the treasures you dig up or create. It also serves as a spawn point, crafting station, and, if you've got the skills, a monument to your building prowess. There are two main ways to build a house in Minecraft. The first is to construct a building out of the materials you can find around you; this is great if you want somewhere showy to live or you just love building. The downsides are that these tend to be more vulnerable to Creeper or other random monster attacks.
