The Community Open House on September 21, from 10 a. Enjoy fun, interactive art activities led by local artists, while exploring the future site of the New Mexico Museum of Art Vladem Contemporary located at the corner of Guadalupe and Montezuma. Free and fun for all ages, with light refreshments provided. Children must be chaperoned by adult. At its founding, the museum collected and exhibited artworks by noted artists from New Mexico and elsewhere. Today, as at its founding, the Museum of Art strives to bring the art of New Mexico to the world and the art of the world to New Mexico. As a result of the Centennial Campaign, the museum will operate at a level in line with standards expected of top art institutions today.

Since its inception more than 10 years ago, the International Folk Art Market Santa Fe has become a community-wide event reaching far beyond its Museum Hill origins. The Department of Cultural Affairs works with a variety of commercial, government, and private non-profit organizations, institutions, and consortia to achieve its mission goals. The non-profit New Mexico Library Foundation supports libraries in New Mexico by allocating funds to libraries of all types and to non-profit organizations that directly benefit libraries. Past projects have supported ideas such as book fairs, summer reading activities, and bilingual projects. The National Hispanic Cultural Center Foundation, a c 3 non-profit charitable organization, is dedicated to raising the funds necessary to support the Center's programming needs, complete the construction of the Center's campus, and build a legacy for future generations. The mission of the Museum of New Mexico Foundation is to support the Museum of New Mexico system through fund development for exhibitions and education programs, financial management and advocacy.

Suggest you look into the same. This museum is excellent, We enjoyed the historical descriptions of New Mexico on the older front section of the museum. Then the contemporary exhibits in the newer sectiin. The Harvey Girls is always my favorite. Great gift shop too. Well designed displays of history most people know little about.
