Why I Believe In Fate
Do you believe in fate or things happening for a reason? Do you think we all have a destiny that we are powerless to? Just curious what you girls thought! It could be anything. I would have never gone to see Fiance if I was still with the other man.
If both fate and destiny mean that things happen through no control of our own, how do they differ? Destiny: the events that will necessarily happen to a particular person or thing in the future. So with fate, things happen beyond our control—but with destiny, we exert at least some conditional control over our future. Do you see why I always liked destiny better? I feel much more comfortable knowing that my own actions influence what will happen to me, rather than only broad external forces. It seems to me that by these definitions we need to accept both into our lives, with open arms and no fears. Fate is of two kinds: One is irrevocable and the other is conditional, or, as it is said, impending.

Que Sera ,Sera. Whatever will be, will be. Belief in fate implies that there is a higher force or being that defines these outcomes for its own mysterious purpose. It could be the God of a religion, some cosmic entity that we have yet to meet, or the consciousness of the universe itself. Many of us believe in fate because it offers us comfort and security.
